Who We Are
Our mission is to help ensure that you, your family, and your friends will be able to enjoy lifetimes of hunting. SCI accomplishes this mission through six local Chapters located throughout the state who are supported by many arenas of our national organization.
SCI is the most influential advocate for hunting and wildlife conservation in Washington State. Our chapters' members work hard to improve wildlife habitat in Washington, strive to make WDFW accountable to hunters, educate our students and teachers, and invest heavily in a heritage that is only enjoyed in the great outdoors.
These primary missions of the six chapters in the state are supported through the many arenas of the national organization.

Through direct involvement and partnerships with like-minded organizations, SCI has become a political force in Washington, D.C. and other world capitals. LEARN MORE

represent
SCI members help shape and promote the image of the hunter to non-hunters through their words and actions. In addition to practicing ethical hunting while in the field and around others, members can give back by participating in humanitarian efforts taking place across the globe through the affiliated charitable organization, Safari Club International Foundation. work together
There are certainly other very important species-specific conservation organizations here in the state (RMEF, DU, FNAWS, NWTF, etc.), but what most people don't realize is that SCI is the only organization that is legally allowed to flex our pro-hunting political muscle at the local, state and national level. And flex it we do! There is strength in numbers, and SCI would not have the influence it has without local supporters like you.
The more members and political influence, the better!
In our opinion, ALL hunters should belong to at least three organizations:
The SCI Chapter network raises over $5 million dollars a year through local fundraising banquets and events. Unlike other organizations, the majority of the money raised stays locally within the state and is spent on any number of Chapter directed projects that have a special interest for the Chapter members.
Chapter members meet together regularly in organized meetings to discuss their mission and how best to accomplish it. These regular meetings involve not only business, but time to get together with old and new friends to talk about hunting and the things they all have in common.
That said, SCI Chapters have a lot of fun, too! The annual banquet and fundraiser each Chapter does is not only their main source of revenue, it is a time to work together with other Chapter members and invite the entire community to an event where fun, food, and great people meet. Incredible hunts, guns, merchandise, trips, and all sorts of outdoor related products can be found. These banquets are legendary in their communities.
The SCI Chapter network is truly the backbone of Safari Club International. It is the place where virtually all SCI leaders began their involvement, and where most keep it. Each Chapter is a voting member of the SCI Board of Directors, and as such has a real opportunity to affect the current and future path SCI will take.
Truly, the best of the best reside within the Chapter ranks of SCI.
Your support of Washington State's chapters and their hard-working members will help ensure that you, your family, and your friends will be able to enjoy a lifetime of hunting.

In our opinion, ALL hunters should belong to at least three organizations:
- National Rifle Association, to protect your 2nd Amendment Rights.
- Safari Club International, to protect your Hunting Rights.
- One or more of the species-specific conservation organizations of your choice. For example, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF), Ducks Unlimited (DU), the Wild Sheep Foundation (FNAWS), the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWWT), Pheasants Forever and the Mule Deer Foundation (MDF) are but a few.

- Youth projects and hunts
- Wounded Warrior Hunts
- Humanitarian projects like feeding the hungry or helping a specific person or organization in need.
- Wildlife conservation projects that involve working hand in hand with local wildlife agencies and other species-specific conservation organizations.
- And, perhaps most importantly, helping to protect the freedom to hunt by our support of like-minded political leaders.
